A Beacon Amidst the Gloom

Lurking aimlessly in this mortal coil

Pipe dreams were buried in the soil

With all the upheavals in the aisle

Pessimism seems beguile

“Thy eyes scream despondency”

A voice lingers incessantly

“Take my reaching hand and come with me”

I can hear yet cannot see

Where do my sight rest?

An abyss with none but vast emptiness

I was inveigled with the glazed kiss

Of preeminent bleakness

Drowning in the sea of tribulation

Within eyeshot is a beacon

Enthralled by the ardent luminesce on its own

The yellow hue takes the crown

Vanquishing the doom

Annihilated by the gleam

The sojourn at the forlorn realm

Was halted by a beacon amidst the gloom
